SMALL BUSINESS | PRODUCT DESIGN | MARKETING

What started as a passion project in 2016 developed into a full-time small business in 2020. My hero product was decorated Hemplight lighter cases, which gained popularity through exposure on social media outlets such as TikTok and Instagram Reels. I expanded the product line to include other cute and functional accessories for the cannabis lifestyle. Through the expansion, I worked with manufacturers in the US and overseas to offer an array of fun smoking accessories. I execute nearly every aspect of running the small business, including fulfillment, Shopify maintenance, content creation, manufacturing, sourcing, and marketing. Since 2020, I have achieved over $300,000 in sales from both domestic and international customers.

VIRAL TIKTOK VIDEOS

With the help of my social media manager, I utilized platforms like Tiktok to increase brand visibility without spending a dime on placed ads or marketing.

COLLABORATIONS

By collaborating with other businesses in the same industry, we were able to cross-promote our brands to a wider audience for mutual benefit.

PRODUCT DESIGN

Design software, such as Adobe Illustrator, was instrumental for creating design files for new products that would be manufactured domestically and overseas.

STYLIZED PHOTOGRAPHY

Unique content creation was our main form of marketing. I used stylized photography, themed content, and fun colors to attract the doom scrollers and highlight new products.

ENGAGEMENT & RESEARCH

We utilized Instagram Stories to engage the audience with interactive polls, questions, and sliders. It was also a great tool to perform user research to find out more about my audience’s wants and needs.
