Rubywood is an experimental project inspired by nature’s beautiful and organic forms. The logo was born from a fascination of tree rings, a common sight growing up in the Santa Cruz forests. From there, I wanted to further explore the juxtaposition of organic and rigid forms, weaving simplified shapes into photographs of flowers and leaves. While the featured photographs are from artists on Unsplash, I hope to utilize and expand my own library of local flora and continue this series.
